WHAT: These 75-minute structured workshops are specifically designed to help children with autism develop social interaction and communication skills, manual dexterity, and the ability to express themselves through art.

 American Ballet Theatre

Oct.-Nov. & May-July seasons feature premieres, full-length classics and repertory ballet, ABT Family Series for ages 6-17 and ABTKids performances designed for ages 4-12. Discount student rush tickets available at the Met box office on day of performance for elementary to college students 25 yrs. of age or younger with valid I.D.

34 W. 51st St. (adjacent to Radio City Music Hall), 212-698-4520. Mon.-Sat. 9-7 (weekday mornings reserved for schools and youth organizations), Sun. 11-5. Free admission.
Fire safety learning center where visitors can climb on a real fire truck, try on bunker gear, meet a firefighter, feel a hot door, and learn to crawl through a smoke-filled hallway. Multi-media fire simulation presentation at 2:30 and 4:30 Mon.-Sat.; 11:30-3:30 on Sunday. Fee for fire safety presentation: Adults and children $6, srs. $2, not recommended for children under five.
